Mitzi Valentine Goward, was a member of the Hudson Valley Art Association, American Artists Professional League, Southern Vermont Artists, and the Middlebury Artist. Mitzi had a fascination with the 'atmosphere'. Her use of color and light have been seen throughout her art. Her paintings featured Vermont scenes and the Maine coast.
