18th Century Hide Covered Dome Top Trunk on Frame w/ Original Label - Dublin
This dome top hide covered trunk is dated "1744" and has the initials "PS" on the top. All of the lettering and decorations are done with leather and rose head nails. It has retained it's original makers label and beautiful blue & white decorative paper lining. The trunk has two locking drawers at the bottom. One is unlocked and in good condition the other is locked. We do not have the original key. Two of the original drawer pulls are missing. The other two are detached but are in the drawer and could be re-attached with new pins. Original locks and hinges are all in good working order. The frame has a cabriolet leg and hand carved rosette detail on the front apron.
Condition: Frame has a started to pull apart at the front left corner - Some losses to the decoration - One drawer is locked - Drawer pulls need repair - Some damages to the hide - See photos (more photos available upon request)
